Mad about Plaid

So I wasn't sure that I was excited for plaid to come back. It wasn't that long ago (the 90's) that it was in. And, I surely HATE the 80's stuff they are bringing back. Anyway, when I started noticing how they take the plaid and turn it cute and feminine and fitted like these dresses, I decided that I like it. Of course, my girls love it!

Repelling

Rileigh and I went repelling for Young Womens tonight. It was so fun. I haven't been since College, but it was even funner than I remembered. Rileigh was really nervous to try, then she ended up going down 10+ times. We had so much fun. The weather was so nice for the 1st day of Fall, and the red hill was gorgeous in the evening sun.

Dixie Round Up Rodeo

We went to the Rodeo Friday night. Colby got to help with the huge flag for National Guard, and Garrett got to carry a flag out on the field. It was really neat to see them both out there. The kids loved the tank and helicopter. We also got a pic of Grandpa Harry riding in the stage coach with all the past Grand Marshalls. Jaesi gave Carly a picture of Summer Sandberg, the Rodeo Queen, to get autographed. Carly sure tried, but we never got it. Carly thought she was beautiful with all that long blond curly hair. When we were leaving, Carly was petting a horse, and the owner came out and set her on top of it! She was so excited. She sure loves horses!

Gymnastics

Carly just started Barefoot Gymnastics and she loves it! She moves like a little gymnast! She loves all kinds of dancing, gymnastics, and cheer leading, so I figured that she needed to try a little bit of each. That way she can decide which one she likes the best. Sorry about the blurry pics. I took them through the glass, far away and the lighting sucked, but you get the idea!

Rodeo TIme

It's Rodeo week and the kids are so excited. The 3rd grade (Garrett) got to ride Mrs. McGregors horses to day at school. Carly was so jealous so I took her over to the Sun Bowl the see all the bulls and horses. She just loves the rodeo and animals in general. We cant wait to go to the parade and the Lion's Dixie Round Up!

Our Eagle Scout

Kaden did it! He was awarded Eagle Scout at his Board of Review Aug. 12, 2009. We are just waiting to find out when we can schedule his Court of Honor. He did so well. I can tell that he grew up and learned a lot through his project. Way to go Kaden!

I miss you daddy! Here's a big kiss from one of your favorite girls!

Indian Peaks

For Labor Day we went camping at Indian Peaks with the Turners and Families. It was pretty fun. We saw wild horses, but didn't get a picture. We thought we would see more up closer, but never did. The horse poo G is pointing at is "Wild Horse Poo". It's organic! (and fresh) It was a nice goodbye to summer. I am so sad to see the warm weather leaving. I just love it.
